Back to Basics

Join Phoenix Irish Dance Academy for our 2025 Back to Basics dance camp!

This camp is perfect for dancers of all levels of experience.

Campers will be grouped together based on age and experience.

We accept children ages 3 (must be potty trained) to 13.

Our camp includes stretches and exercises to promote good technique and help prevent injury, a traditional ceili (a dance done together by a group of dancers), dance steps, friendship-building activities, Irish dance games, crafts, and more!

The week ends on Friday towards the end of camp with a performance for the families of the campers.

This year, our camp will be from July 21st to the 25th from 10AM to 11:30AM. The cost for this camp is $94.50 per child (get 10% off each child's registration until 06/06/2025, then the price is $105).

Camp is located at 8800 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110.

For dancers ages 8 and up with at least 1 year of Irish dance experience, see our Workshop camp registration form. This is a camp for dancers with some experience who would like to increase their skill set and improve their technique, as well as learn new material. It is also possible to sign your dancer up for both camps.

Dancers born before 12/31/2012 with at least 1 year of Irish dance experience with PIDA are eligible to be a Junior Camp Counselor (JCC) and attend both camps for only $75 (as opposed to attending both camps for $165 or one camp for $94.50). Please send your camper with water and a small snack. Water and snacks will be available for purchase at camp, and if your camper does not bring water, our staff will assume you'd like to purchase a bottle of water for the day. We do not have access to a water fountain.

If you would prefer to bring the check to camp, please have it in an envelope labeled with your name.

I understand that Irish dance is a sport and injury is possible. I hold Phoenix Irish Dance Academy and Manassas Baptist Church harmless in the event that my child sustains an injury related to Irish dance or another activity during class.
